“Curry Lounge Nottingham. The staff were attentive and friendly. I love the ambience and the cocktails were good. We had the set menu on offer and was given a sharing platter for a starter. The onion bhaji, chicken tandoori and lamb seekh was good. For mains, we were served lamb korma (good), chicken tikka (a bit sweeter than expected but okay) and mixed veg (v good). We were also given a portion of pilau rice and naan. There was a lot of food for £13 per person, definitely good value night.

“We were uncertain how this would pan out, having seen Ramsay's programme - we did not need to worry. The service was much better than most Indian restaurants, discreet yet polished, and our booking was acknowledged without any hassle. The set menu is really value for money - portions are very well flavoured and not skimpy. We plan to go back when next in Nottingham.

“In town on business I was determined to eat at Curry Lounge. I am so glad I did. I only had time for a main course and a side dish (Lucknowi Gosht and some okra), but it was sensational. The meat was tender and melting, there was not too much ghee, and the portions were genrous and warming. The service was excellent too. I will certainly be returning when next in town.

“Curry Lounge, Nottingham. It was our second visit and we enjoyed it better than the first time. The fish fillets for starter was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. My partner had a tikka massla for main and it was the first time she had eaten a curry of that strength and she finished the lot! The lamb special was really good, as was the waitresses!

You know when a curry is going to be good when the papadums and chutneys arrive...and this did not disappoint, Curry Lounge was fantastic, and offers a good selection of food that you would not normally find on a "standard" menu. What a shame I was only visiting Nottingham on business, otherwise I would definately make this my regular!! Fantastic food, service in an upbeat buzzing environment - Excellent.

“Recommend the Curry Lounge to anyone seeking an great meal in Nottingham. The food was uniformly excellent, poppadoms not oily, mixed grill starter highly recommended. Mains were all superb, the tenderest lamb I've had in a while. Drinks are drinks but the bottled chilled tap water was a great touch for our devout tap water drinker. Staff were polite, helpful, and suitably attentive. Toilets were clean and tidy, a city centre restaurant, busy but well-managed.

“I would definitely recommend the 'Curry Lounge'. The standard of food was excellent, certainly the best Indian in Nottingham. The service was very good too, the staff were polite, efficient and friendly without being in anyway intrusive. The owner took time to come to our table and say hello which was very pleasant. He gave my father a free drink as it was his birthday! Our group would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
